ah, the gift of life.  is there anything more beautiful?  is there anything more weird looking?  i kept waiting for her/him to say "phone home."  for those who have a (slightly dark and possibly inappropriate) sense of humor, this brought to mind mel brooks' intergalactic interpretation of the birthing process.
